Leadership, the ability to create positive followship. When I first heard this definition of leadership it resonated trust. The bosses I respected through my career are the one's that have high integrity hence I can trust them and I will follow them. I will forgive occasional mistakes based on ability, but I won't trust someone who has slips in character. That is one reason that I treat trust as my most precious asset. When a leader's character is strong, I will trust him, and I trust in his ability to release my potential. I remember my Dad mentioning that IBM had high integrity leaders. Character makes trust possible. And trust makes leadership possible. A leaders good character builds trust among his followers. Is your leader someone with high integrity, hence you can trust?
