Back in the early days of my selling career, my boss always used to say to me, "Hoyt, there is no Plan B!! We worked on Plan A and if Plan A did not work, we regrouped and put together another Plan A. His thought was that you cannot have a safety net always trailing along. Have the confidence in your primary plan, Plan A. Put the time and effort into making it the best plan then go execute it. His thought was if you have a Plan B then you do not have confidence in Plan A. It took me awhile to embrace this but I have never looked back. Even to this day, I feel like Plan B means that Plan A is not quite good enough so I better plan for failure. Not good for me, so I have embrace the saying, No Such Thing as Plan B, C, etc. I will put together Plan A then go kick butt. Give this a try and let me know how it works for you.

Another gem from the brilliant mind of Paul Hoyt. This falls in line with “There is no trying. You either do or you don’t”
